LinkedIn ReplyPilot ("the Extension") is a browser extension that generates AI-powered comment replies on LinkedIn. This privacy policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.
1. Data We Access
The Extension accesses the following data, all of which stays on your device:
- LinkedIn post content — The text of LinkedIn posts visible in your feed is read locally to generate relevant replies. Post text is sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) solely for reply generation and is not stored on any server we operate.
- LinkedIn profile information — Your name, headline, and public profile URL are read from LinkedIn during onboarding to personalize your voice profile. This data is stored locally in your browser.
- LinkedIn session cookie (li_at) — The Extension reads your LinkedIn session cookie to identify which LinkedIn account is active. The cookie value is hashed locally to create an anonymous user identifier for multi-profile support. The raw cookie value is never transmitted externally or stored in readable form.
- Your Anthropic API key — You provide your own API key for Claude AI. The key is stored locally in your browser's chrome.storage.local and is sent only to Anthropic's API endpoint (api.anthropic.com) to authenticate reply generation requests. We never see, collect, or store your API key on any server.
- Reply history and analytics — The Extension stores your reply history (which posts you replied to, the tone used, timestamps) and aggregate analytics (daily counts, tone performance) locally in your browser for the dashboard and activity log.
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- No personal information is sent to any server we operate
• No LinkedIn credentials or passwords
• No browsing history outside of LinkedIn
• No financial, health, or location data
• No data is sold, shared, or transferred to any third party
• No tracking pixels, analytics services, or telemetry
• No advertising data or user profiling
3. Third-Party Services
The Extension communicates with one external service:
- Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) — LinkedIn post text and your voice profile settings are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate reply text. This communication uses your personal API key and is governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy (https://www.anthropic.com/privacy). We have no access to your API usage or the data you send to Anthropic.
No other external services, servers, or APIs are contacted by the Extension.
