Overview

Cosmic Vibes Astrology ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that provides personalized astrology readings, tarot card pulls, and oracle responses. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Data We Collect

The Extension collects the following information provided voluntarily by the user during onboarding:

• Full name
• Date of birth
• Time of birth
• Place of birth

This information is used solely to generate personalized astrological readings.

How Your Data Is Stored

All personal data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). Your birth details never leave your device except when passed to our secure API proxy to generate your reading.

How Your Data Is Used

Your birth details are used exclusively to:

• Calculate your natal chart (Sun sign, Moon sign, Rising sign)
• Generate personalized daily readings, tarot interpretations, and oracle responses via AI
• Provide astrological context relevant to your specific birth chart

Your data is never used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to generating your astrology readings.

Third Party Services

The Extension communicates with a serverless proxy hosted on Vercel (vercel.app) which processes your birth details alongside current planetary data to generate readings via the Anthropic API. No personally identifiable data is stored on our servers. All API calls are stateless and your data is not retained after your reading is generated.
